This piece is inspired by the beautiful coastal walk I go on each day with my dog.  After sunset, when the last embers are glowing, the ocean is at its most enticing and yet forbidding. Layers of acrylic glazes, gold leaf and hand painted collage. The surface is sanded into to reveal glimpses and flashes of colour below.
