Concertina sketchbook 'a tale of two sides'

During my recent residency at Brisons Veor I decided to give my new Seawhite Concertina sketchbook a go. Its quite a neat size and easy to pop into a rucksack so took it out everyday sketching en plain air.

Although I was aware that each image was starting to link to the last one I didn't really get the full impact until I completed one side and opened it right up across the studio floor. There is a real sense of the journey that I took during that week. From clambering over huge boulders at the edge of the ocean, sitting drawing boats in the sheltered Priests Cove or looking out over the panoramic view from Lands End to the Botallack Mines.

I used inks, graphite, Posca Pens and oil bars and my wonderful brown Bic Biro.

This is part 1

And the other side now part 2

If you click both videos at the same time you get the full impact! Enjoy!
